IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The given column graph illustrats the percentage of people who had the habit of buy and drink coffee or tea in five Australian cities.

It can be seen that, the sydney had the highest number of people who bought fresh coffee in last 4 weeks and the percentage was more than 42 percent.On the other hand, Melbourne and hobart stayed second and third place with the number of 41 percent and 37 percent respectively. Brisbane and adelaide had the lowest number of residents who brought fresh coffee and it's nearly 34 percent in both cities.

On the other side, melbourne climbed top with the residents who went to a cafe for coffee or tea and the number was 64 percent. Hobart also lead top positon by the percentage of people who brought instant coffee with the number of 54 percent residents. the remaining three cities like sydney, brisbane and adelaide

also contributed with the large number of residents respectively.

Overall, every cities people had the diversity with their choice, so some cities residents mostly like fresh coffee or instant coffee, on the other side some cities people choose to went cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks.
