Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the task by summarizing the main features of the survey. You have identified key trends, such as Melbourne having the highest cafe attendance and Brisbane having lower fresh coffee consumption. However, the report lacks a clear overview of the data, and some comparisons are underdeveloped. For instance, the statement 'The people in Melbourne city consuming most of they went to cafe' is grammatically unclear and makes the data comparison difficult to follow. To improve, ensure you clearly group the data points and provide a more cohesive summary of the trends across all five cities rather than listing them city by city.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Followed by the survey Brisbane and Adelaide cities recorded...'. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, making it difficult to identify the logical flow between sentences. Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly when discussing the percentages. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'similarly', 'consequently') to connect your ideas more fluidly and improve the overall logical progression of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'people consuming coffee and tea buying and drinking habitis' and 'declared by Australia government'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of the information. While you have attempted to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'percentage' and 'residents', the lack of precision in word choice limits the score. To improve, try to incorporate more varied and precise terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'significant', or 'marginal'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('consuming most of they went'), missing articles ('in Sydeny'), and awkward sentence construction ('The people of Hobart, had huge differences are mainly cafe visitors'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to distract from the content. Focus on subject-verb agreement and basic sentence structure to improve accuracy.
