The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The bar chart gives information about the results of a survey carried out on people's drinking and buying coffee and tea in five different cities of Australia.

Overall, bought instant coffee in last four weeks increases in all five cities while bought fresh coffee and went to a cafe for coffee and tea increases with some fluctuation .

In sydney, Melbourne and hobart have 44%, 42 % and 38%, respectively, while Brisbane and Adelaide has constant range of 34%. However, bought instant coffee in last four weeks are 45% in sydney, around half percent 48% in Melbourne, 53% in Brisbane, 50% in Adelaide and in Hobart 54%.

The trend to go to cafe to drink coffee and tea, is increased in all five cities in last four weeks. The highest percent like 64% and 63% in Melbourne and Hobert, respectively, but in Sydney it is 61%, Brisbane 55% and Adelaide 54%.
