IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The bar graph shows the survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five different cities like Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and hobart of Australia.

Overall, people love to explore cafes physically for buying cofffee and tea rather than ordering it from home. In most of the countries, people prefer coffee more than tea for freshment of their mood.

It can be seen that, in Brisbane, only 34% of people bought fresh coffee in last four weeks, and on the other side, in Sydney, about 44% of peope bought fresh coffee with highest among other cities.

Moreover, as we talk about instant coffee, people from Bisbane and hobart, are at almost same position which is around 53% and 54% respectively.

While, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart are the cities where large number of people went to cafes for buying coffee or tea which is around 61%, 63% and 62%, in last four weeks.
