The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart compares the percentage of residents in five Australian cities—Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart—who bought fresh coffee, purchased instant coffee, or visited a café for coffee or tea in the previous four weeks. Overall, visiting a café was the most popular habit in almost all cities, except in Adelaide where buying instant coffee was slightly more common. Conversely, purchasing fresh coffee was the least preferred option across every city. Melbourne registered the highest proportion of café visitors at nearly 64%, closely followed by Hobart at almost 63%. Sydney and Brisbane also reported high figures in this category, at around 61% and 56% respectively. In contrast, Adelaide recorded the lowest café attendance at just under 50%. Regarding instant coffee, Hobart recorded the highest share of buyers at 54%, whereas Sydney recorded the lowest at 45%. For fresh coffee, Sydney was the leading consumer at nearly 44%, making fresh coffee almost as popular as instant coffee in that city.
