The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given bar chart illustrate habits of people to either buy or drink coffee and tea in five cities Sydney,Melbourne,Brisbane,Adelaide and Hobart of Australia.

Overall, Australians preferred going to a cafe to have coffee or tea in all four cities except Adelaide rather than buying it as instant and fresh.

Citizens in four cities chose to go to a cafe to drink coffee or tea in last four weeks, which was recorded same and highest approximately 64% in Hobart and Melbourne, on the second place was Sydney with almost 61%. However, only 49% preferred going out.

Buying instant coffee was also popular, 54% of individuals bought this drink and 53%, 50% in Brisbane and Adelaide respectively. Fresh coffee was the least preferred beverage among all cities, less than 45% residents were interested in it.People residing in Brisbane and Adelaide had equal preference noted as nearly 34% whereas in Sydney and Melbourne it was approximately 44% and 43%.
