The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The bar chart below illustrates the information about coffee and tea purchasing and drinking habits of people in five cities of Australia.

Overall, it is evident that the largest proportion of people visited café for coffee and tea in all cities whereas the lowest percentage of individuals bought fresh coffee in last 4 weeks.

Melbourne accounted for the highest percentage of people who went to café for coffee and tea in last four weeks at 64%. Followed by Hobart where the figure was slightly lower at 62% while the figure for Sydney stood at 61%. Moreover, Brisbane accounted for 56% whereas figure for the Adelaide stood at 49% which was the lowest percentage among all.

54% of the people purchased instant coffee in Hobart considerably higher than the figure for other cities; 52% for Brisbane, 50% for Adelaide while the figure for Melbourne stood at 48% compared with 46% in Sydney.

Regarding fresh coffee, 44% of individuals bought fresh coffee. Followed by Melbourne at 42%. However, same proportion of the people purchased fresh coffee in both Brisbane and Adelaide at 34%. The Hobart accounted for 37% of individuals shopped fresh coffee.
