The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The data provided in bar graph shows coffee and tea buying and drinking habits for 5 Australian cities in last 4 weeks. Highest percentage of city population prefers to go to cafe for either coffee or tea but except Adelaide city residents, who chooses to buy instant coffee rather than visiting cafe. Lowest percentage of residents in all cities are for getting a fresh coffee.

Out of 5 cities, Melbourne is highest amount of people choosing to visit cafe close to 65%. for the same interest Adelaide nearly 50% of people choosing either coffee or tea. Amongst 5 cities- Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Hobart; Adelaide is the only sity having nearly 50% of city resident preferring to buy instant coffee or either going to cafe.

Also, it's worth noting that Brisbane and Adelaide have nearly 35% of residents who like buying fresh coffee. For all cities, Buying instant coffee is between range of 45% to 55%. Thus, would conclude that Cafe is the primary preference for all city residents.
