The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given bar graph represents survey results about people's drinking habits of tea and coffee in 5 different cities of Australia.
Bought fresh coffee in last 4 weeks, the most percentage of the people who bought are from Sydney and Melbourne that is approx 44% and 42%, the least amount of coffee who bought were from Brisbane and Adelaide which was almost same at 34%. Bought instant coffee in last 4 weeks had not that much difference in all five cities most of it was consumed by the people of Brisbane and Hobart consumption percentage were 53% and 54%, less amount of consumption of instant coffeee were in Sydney at 45%.
Went to a cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks, had significantly more percentage compared to other drinks consumption, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart had drastically more consumption which is 61%, 63% and 62%, its less consumption was in Adelaide that is 49%. Among all the drinks use of drinks in cafe was way more than other odrinks and less usage was of fresh coffee in last 4 weeks.
overall, people of all five cities were consuming tea and coffee from cafe which has relatively higher percentage than fresh and instant coffee in past last 4 weeks.
