The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The bar graph illustrates consuming and buying, coffee and tea habits in five different Australian cities after the survey. The highest percentage of people visited the cafe for coffee or tea, and the least amount of people purchased fresh coffee in the last month.
Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart showed the largest proportion of residents in these cities people preferred to visit cafe to buy coffee and tea by almost above 60%. However Brisbane and Adelaide were below 60% in the last month.
The second highest demand in theses cities is for instant coffee. Where as, Horbart and Brisbane with highest percentage compare to other cities above 50%.On the other hand Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide were below 50%.
The residents of Sydney, Melbourne and hobart consumes more fresh coffee approximately 38%- 44%. While Brisbane and Adelaide consumption and buying habits, for coffee and tea are below 35%.
Overall, the consumption of tea or coffee by visiting the cafe in all five Australian citiies is highest compared to instant and fresh coffee.
