The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

This chart shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities. Drinking coffee and tea is always people's favourite thing to do and many people drank coffee and tea everysingle day.

In Sydney, 44% of city residents bought fresh coffee in last four weeks and 45% of residents bought instant coffee in last four weeks. The 61% city residents went to a cafe for coffee and tea in last four weeks.

In Melboune, 43% of city residents bought fresh coffee in last four weeks and 48% of residents bought instant coffee in last four weeks. The 64% city residents went to a cafe for coffee and tea in last four weeks. The Brisbane and Adelaide, these both cities have almost same percentage where 34% of city residents bought fresh coffee in last four weeks and 50% of residents bought instant coffee in last four weeks. The 55% city residents of Beisbane went to a cafe for coffee and tea in last four weeks, while 44% city residents of Adelaide went to a cafe for coffee and tea in last four weeks.

Then we have Hobart city where 34% of city residents bought fresh coffee in last four weeks and 59% of residents bought instant coffee in last four weeks. The 63% city residents went to a cafe for coffee and tea in last four weeks.

In conclusion, many people bought instant coffee and large number of people wen tto a cafe for coffee or tea in last 4 weeks. People enjoy going outside with friends and family and having tea of coffee.
