The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The bar graph displays a respresentation of the results in regards to a survey conducted about people's tea and coffee purchasing and consuming habits across five different Australian cities.
The bar graph depicts two cities Brisbane and Adelaide as the least precentage of residents buying fresh coffee in past 4 weeks, in contrast to Sydney at almost 44% of residents buying fresh coffee in last 4 weeks. Furthermore, the trend among residents buying instant coffee remains identical, ranging between 45% and 55% with Sydney being the lowest and Hobart at the top of the range.
Most prominent habit among the residents is the habit of going to cafe for either coffee or tea. The survey concluded that around 61% to 63% residents of Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart have similar habit of getting their tea or coffee from a cafe while Adelaide is far behind at 49% of residents with similar habit.
In conclusion, the habit of buying the coffee and tea is scattered unequally among the different cities with most evident being the habit of going to a cafe.
