The chart below shows the results of a survey about people’s coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The provided chart demonstrates the individual's beverage purchasing and consumption habits in five Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in three different categories. The units measured in percentage of city residents.

Overall, it can be depicted that in all cities most of the people preferred going to a cafe to buy coffee or tea, while least proportionality is for buying fresh coffee in all of the cities.

In the beginning, the most of the people in Hobart and Melbourne liked going out for buying coffee or tea whose proportion is mirrored and close to 63 % while the city of Sydney was runner-up with about 61 % and the least is in Adelaide.

On the other hand, the residents of Hobart preferred purchasing instant coffee and is dominated in this category accounted to about 54 % followed by Brisbane and Adelaide with close to 53 % and 50 % respectively while the city of Sydney was least. In case of purchasing fresh coffee Sydney dominated with approx 44 % and Melbourne was the runner up with approximately 43 % with Brisbane and and Adelaide are parallel to each other and are least .It can be observed that in all the cities most of the population likes going out to get coffee and tea followed by purchasing instant coffee and fresh coffee.
