Student answer (Band 5.5)

The given charts compares the people who have habit of drinking tea, coffee or the peoples just visit the cafe for coffee or tea in different coties of Australia.

Overall as the the given chart people who visit cafe for drinking coffe or tea are more as compare to the peoples who drink fresh coffee and instant coffee.

People visited cafe for fresh coffee in last 4 weeks in the cities Sydney and Melbourne are higher then the cities Brisbane, Adilade and Hobart. Chart shows sydeny and melobourne are nearly same for the fresh coffee visitors as in the range of 40% to 45% but the Helobort is less in numbers which are from 30% to 35%. The lowest percentage is came in Brisbane and Adilade which is between the range of 30% to 35%.

It appears people in the cities of Australia are more like instant coffee than fresh coffee because in the cities they are higher in % from last 4 weeks then fresh coffee drinker. There is a small difference in Sydney and Melbourne as in Sydney its nearly 45% and in meloborne its 45% to 50%, the numner increases in the cities Brisbane and hobart are more than 50% whereas Adilade is near to 45%.

As per the chart peoples went to drink coffee or tea in the cafe are higher then fresh coffe drinkers oand instant coffee drink as in maximum cities it cross 60%. but the catch is in Brisbane and Adilade they are approx in same number of instant coffee drinkers.

Its conclude that in Australia there are higher numner of peoples who went cafee to drink coffe or tea rather then fresh and instant coffee drinkers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the broad pattern that café visits are generally more common than either type of coffee purchase, and you compare fresh with instant coffee. However, several key details are misreported or unclear. Fresh coffee is not highest in Sydney and Melbourne alone: Hobart is about 38.5%, above Brisbane and Adelaide, while Sydney and Melbourne are around 44% and 42.5%. You also say café visits exceed 60% in most cities, but this is true only in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart; Adelaide is about 49.5% and Brisbane 55.5%. The overview is relevant, but the response needs more accurate comparisons and a clearer selection of the main highs, lows and exceptions to address the chart more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an opening, an overview and separate paragraphs discussing fresh coffee, instant coffee and café visits. This gives the reader some organisation. However, progression is weakened by repeated conclusions about café visits being higher, and some comparisons are difficult to follow. For example, the fresh-coffee paragraph first groups Sydney and Melbourne as highest, then describes Hobart as lower than cities where it is actually higher. Linking phrases such as “It appears” and “As per the chart” do not always clarify how the figures relate. Group cities by meaningful patterns, use clear comparisons within each paragraph, and avoid repeating the same overall point in the conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “percentage,” “instant coffee,” “fresh coffee” and “in the last 4 weeks,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or awkward, such as “people who have habit of drinking,” “higher in %,” and “the catch is.” Repetition of “people,” “cities” and “higher” also makes the description less precise. Spelling errors—including “coties,” “sydeny,” “melobourne” and “Adilade”—are noticeable and can distract the reader. Use standard chart language such as “the proportion of residents,” “accounted for” and “was higher than,” and check spelling of city names carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the paragraphing helps separate the different categories. However, grammatical errors are frequent, and some longer constructions are difficult to interpret. The opening has subject–verb disagreement in “The given charts compares,” while “people who have habit” is missing an article. In “the cities Sydney and Melbourne are higher,” the comparison is not formed correctly, and “The lowest percentage is came” combines incompatible verb forms. There are also problems with articles, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “fresh coffee drinker.There.” Practise accurate comparison structures and past-tense reporting, and proofread each sentence for agreement, articles and punctuation.
