IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.5)

The diagram compares the floor plan of a public centeral library with today and before 20 years.

Overall, the main enterance are remains same. Tables and chairs are disapper by today and the games room was extended some larger and replaced by childerns fiction books. A new cafe was added instead of Enquairy desk. Reading room door was chnaged to main entrence side.

In center of plan tables and chairs are removed and leave as open area. In north-east direction childerns books was moved to north-west and named as lecture room. South-east enquiery desk which are avaliable of tickets, book returns are shifted to east side by setting self service machines. Cafe was added instead of enquiery desk with new enterance.

CDs, videos and computer games room was enlarged and arranging new L-shaped sofas used as childern fiction books room which covered storytelling events also. In early days Reading rooms are avaliable of newspaers and magazines by trending changes into computer room.
