The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The floor plans compare the layout of Central Library as it was 20 years ago with its current arrangement.
Overall, the library has undergone significant modernization, transitioning from a traditional print and physical media repository into a digitalized, multi-purpose facility. Notably, the main seating in the central area has been removed to create open space, and modern amenities such as computer facilities, self-service options, and a cafe have been introduced.
Twenty years ago, the central area featured tables and chairs for study, but these have since been removed. In the top-left section, the room previously used for CDs, videos, and computer games now houses computer terminals. Along the left wall, where fiction books were formerly kept, reference books are now stored.
On the right-hand side, the upper room for children's books has been updated to include a storytelling space alongside children's fiction. The non-fiction area along the right wall now contains adult fiction as well.
In the southern part of the library near the entrance, the former reading room for newspapers and magazines on the bottom-left has been converted into a cafe. Opposite this, on the bottom-right, the original enquiry desk has been replaced by self-service machines, an information desk, and a separate lecture room.
