The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pictorial representations demonstrate the layout of the floor plan of a public library two decades ago and its appearance at present.
Earlier, there was a room for playing computer games, watching videos and CDs on the northeast side of a library. Whereas books for children were available in the room located in the northwest direction of a public library. The adult non-fiction books were available in the west direction and area for adult fiction books is available in the east side of a library. The tables and chairs were arranged in the middle of a library. There was an entrance on the south side. There was an enquiry desk to enquire about the tickets, book returns and other queries to the right side of the entrance. To the left side of the entrance, there was a room available for reading newspapers and magazines.
Currently, lots of changes has been done on the floor of a public library. To the northeast side of a library, the room has been occupied for children's fiction books along with storytelling events and sofa are arranged for sitting. The room available for children's books has now been replaced with the lecture room. All reference books are made available in the room which previously includes books of adult fiction. The room occupied with adult non-fiction books has been replaced with the adult fiction books, information desk has also been installed to collect any sort of information along with the self-service machines. In the southwest side of the library the reading room has been replaced with the computer room, whereas the cafe is inaugurated in place of enquiry desk.
Overall, lots of changes has taken place in the floor plan of a public library with some additional facilities for the visitors. These changes make the view of library more attracting and convenient for anyone.
