The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The map illustrates the floor plan of a central library which was made before 20 years and demonstrates how it looks now.

Overall, it can be seen that it is completely different today than the plan made 20 years ago.\

Before two decades, there were CDs, videos and computer games at the upper left corner. On the right side there was a place for children's books. At the lower right corner reading room (newspapers & magazines) was located, whereas enuiry desk was on the opposite lower corner. Adult fiction and non fiction books were also on the opposite sides of each other and tables & chairs were in between.

However, in today map at the place of cds and computer games got replaced by sofa, storytelling events and children's fiction books, therefore there is now a lecture room at the place of children's books.Moreover, Adult fiction books, information desk and self-service machines are below the lecture room whereas, all reference books are beneath children's fiction books. Lastly there is a cafe and computer room on the opposite sides at the lower side of map and tables & chairs are removed from the map now.
