The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 7.0)
The maps illustrate the changes that took place in a library from 20 years ago to the present day.
Overall, the library has undergone significant changes in terms of its layout and facilities. Several areas were relocated or replaced, while new facilities, such as a café, a computer room and a storytelling area, were introduced.
Twenty years ago, the library had CDs, videos and computer games in one area, while children's fiction books were located in the lecture room in the northwest corner. In the centre of the library, there were tables and chairs, and an enquiry desk was situated in the southwest corner. Adult non-fiction books and adult fiction books were also provided.
At present, the lecture room has been converted into an area for children's fiction books, while the former area for CDs, videos and computer games has become a storytelling area. The tables and chairs have been removed and an information desk has been installed. In addition, a computer room and a café have been introduced, while the adult fiction section has been replaced by reference books.
