The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
The map illustrates the development taken place in a floor plan of a public library over the period of two decades.
Overall, the library has undergone huge transformation, digitalizing it by replacing reading room with computer room, and adding self-service machines. Other modifications include removal of the central table and chairs, and the conversion of children's books and cafe enquiry desk with lecture room and cafe respectively.
To begin with, the enquiry desk at the right of entrance is replaced with cafe, and the reading room for reading newspaper and magazines on the left side is turned into a computer room. In addition, the genre of book towrads the East is altered with adult fiction books and an information desk, self-service machines are installed towards the South of book section. Furthermore, the adult fiction books in the west are replaced by all reference book.
On the other hand, Children's book in the Northeast corner are replaced with lecture room, and Computer game section is the northwest is converted into storytelling event room which also contains sofas
