The diagram below shows the floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it looks now.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram below illustrate how a public library floor plan has transformed over a period of twenty years. The whole library consists of 4 portions and a center place which was changed over time. Old library were not having any lecture room, however the new plan contain a whole portion for a lecture room which is highlighting a major change. There was no concept of cafe and refreshment center, a new plan came up with a space for people visiting the library, so they can have their meal, drinks, snacks and much more.
Today computer and video games room have been renovated to a new place where more creativity, fun activities and story telling events are performed, including sofas for the listeners so they can enjoy while listening. Another major change is center place of library, on the left there is a section for all reference books, however old library was just having adult fiction books there. In center of the library, we can see there is an empty space but before the transformation of this place there were sitting place for the visitors. and right in front of the cafe, there is a place where people can have a self service, and electronic machine where people can get the books and return whenever they want. For any query or information and to help the people, there is an information desk behind those machines.
