Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify several important changes, including the former reading room becoming a computer room, the enquiry desk area becoming a café, and the upper rooms changing to a storytelling area and a lecture room. These details are generally grounded in the plans. However, the overview is unclear: “library has main four part” does not explain the main overall changes, and the conclusion that “every thing is change according to technology and time” is too general. Some details are inaccurate or incomplete: the central area is not replaced by reference and fiction books; those are in the middle-left and middle-right sections, while the former tables and chairs are simply removed. The self-service machines are in the adult-fiction area, not just above the café. A clearer overview and more precise comparisons would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable progression: it compares the upper and lower rooms, then discusses the central areas, and ends with a conclusion. This gives the information an overall arrangement. However, the opening does not clearly introduce the main features, and the body reads largely as a sequence of room-by-room statements. Connectors such as “But,” “Lastly,” and “to conclude” are sometimes mechanical, while the relationship between the central changes is not expressed clearly. For example, “instead new area is alloted” makes it sound as though the central space became book sections, although the plan places those sections on either side of the corridor. Grouping changes by location and using clearer references would improve progression and cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for describing a library plan, including “upper most corner,” “converted,” “reading room,” and “self-service machine.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main changes, but the range is limited and several choices or spellings reduce precision. “Main four part” is unclear, “sofa is arrange” does not accurately describe the room’s new use, and “new area is alloted” is vague. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “fictuion,” “afer,” and “Computergames.” Aim for accurate, consistent terms for locations and facilities, and use more precise verbs such as “relocated,” “replaced,” or “redesigned” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, and the reader can usually follow the comparisons. However, some errors in sentence structure, tense, articles, and punctuation make parts difficult to read. For example, “The given both diagram shows” has an incorrect subject structure, while “20 years ago there was reading room” is missing an article. In “sofa is arrange,” the verb form is incorrect, and the long sentence beginning “Lastly,20 years age” needs clearer punctuation and sentence boundaries. Keep the past tense for the earlier plan and use the present tense for today’s layout. Practising accurate comparative sentences, with one clear main clause and correctly formed verbs, would improve control.
