The diagram illustrates the layout of a public library two decades ago and what it is present situation.
Looking at the details, before 20 year ago; the cental library had seating facility at the center of the library. Meanwhile, it had the adult non-fiction books section on the left side and the adult fiction section was on the right side of the seating facility. Moreover, there were reading room for newspaper and magzines along side with the entrance and it also had a enquiry desk on the lower right corner of the library. Fruthermore, there was a room for CDs, videos, computer games on the top left corner and in opposing side there was a room for children's books.
After two decades, there are significant changes in the central library. the seating facility are removed now. There are additions of the information desk and self-service machine on adult fiction book side. On the ride side the adult fiction books section transformed into all reference books. The enquiry desk changed into cafe and in opposing side reading room coverted into computer room. The children books room on ther top right corner are now become a lecture room, while CDs and videos room is now designated for storytelling events with the sofa facility and it also has the children's fiction books.
Overall, after two decades the libray layout changes significantly; the most essential change is the additions of the self- service machine and cafe. however, there are transformation of rooms into different facilities have also bring important changes in the library.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both time periods and identify several important changes, including the removal of the central seating, the addition of self-service machines and a café, and the conversion of rooms to new uses. The overview also recognises that the layout changed substantially. However, some details are inaccurate: the adult fiction and non-fiction sections are reversed in your description of the earlier plan, and the current adult fiction area is not described as becoming all reference books; it is the former adult non-fiction area that is labelled all reference books. The children’s room and the CDs room are also assigned to the wrong sides in the earlier plan. More precise comparisons and a clearer account of which sections moved or changed would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a description of the earlier plan, a paragraph on the current layout, and a concluding overview. This makes the main progression easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “After two decades” to connect information. However, some transitions are mechanical, and the repeated use of “on the…side” and “corner” makes the comparisons less smooth. The final overview repeats the general idea of significant change rather than synthesising the main transformations. Some references, such as “opposing side,” are not always clear. Grouping changes by area or by type of conversion, and using more precise references, would strengthen the progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “layout,” “section,” “transformed,” “designated,” and “self-service machine.” These choices help communicate the main features, although several expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “seating facility,” “in opposing side,” and “the most essential change.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “cental,” “magzines,” “Fruthermore,” “coverted,” and “libray.” Some word choices blur the map information: for example, “adult fiction book side” is less precise than naming the area or its position. Aim for accurate collocations such as “seating area,” “on the opposite side,” and “the most notable change,” and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “while” and “Moreover,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure and grammatical forms occur across the response. Examples include “what it is present situation,” “before 20 year ago,” “the seating facility are removed,” and “rooms … have also bring important changes.” Articles and agreement are also inconsistent, as in “a enquiry desk” and “there were reading room.” Capitalisation after full stops is sometimes missing, as in “the seating facility” and “however.” These errors make some sentences awkward and occasionally obscure relationships between features. Practise accurate past-versus-present comparisons, subject–verb agreement, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
