Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the overall change from the earlier layout to a library with new facilities, and you mention several important changes, including the lecture room, café, computer room, storytelling area and removal of the central tables. However, the account is only partly accurate and does not clearly summarise the main pattern of change. For example, the children’s books room became a lecture room, while children’s fiction and storytelling moved into the former CDs-and-games room; these relationships are difficult to follow in your description. You also say adult fiction and non-fiction were removed, although adult fiction remains and non-fiction was replaced by reference books. A clearer overview followed by accurate, selected comparisons would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has some organisation: it begins with a general statement and then describes changes around the library, often moving from the centre to the sides. However, the progression is difficult to follow because several changes are combined in long, loosely connected sentences. The repeated use of “and” and phrases such as “right after” does not always make the spatial relationships clear. For instance, the sentence beginning “Cafe is added” moves from the entrance to the reading room and then to the computer area without a clear structure. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and the detailed comparisons, and group features by location or by what changed. Clearer linking and reference would help readers track the old and new layouts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for describing a library plan, including “floor plan,” “facility,” “entrance,” “removed” and “introduced.” This gives you a basic range for reporting changes. However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make details harder to understand: “coumputer,” “childern,” “stroytelling” and “refernce” are misspelled, while “computer desk” does not accurately name the new computer room. Phrases such as “addition of” and “abolished” are also awkward for describing changes to rooms and facilities. Aim for precise map vocabulary and check spelling carefully; terms such as “converted into,” “relocated,” and “replaced by” can express the relationships more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There are attempts to use longer structures, including “that were in the center of library were removed,” but sentence control is inconsistent and errors frequently affect clarity. The opening, “The two diagram illustrate,” has a plural-agreement error and an awkward construction. Articles and prepositions are often missing or incorrect, as in “in center of library” and “at the left side of the entrance.” Some sentences are fragments or lack a clear grammatical connection, particularly “Commence with tables and chairs…” and “And many existing sections were abolished…”. Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and practise accurate past-tense comparisons, for example, “The tables were removed, while a computer room was added.”
