The plans compares between a floor plan of a public library 20 years ago and how it is now.
Overall, they were so many changes and arrangements where they added some aminities that was not there 20
years ago, however they kept so many stuff just relocated them.
Twenty years ago, entring from the entrance directly at the centre there were 2 tables and chairs meanwhile from ghe entrance at the right you find a enquiry desk, advancing you will face an area for adult non-fiction books then a room for children's book. From the left, there was a reading room specifically for magazines and newspapers with an outdoor for the adult fiction book area, then a room of electronics like video games and cds.
At present, from the entrance in the right they replaced the enquiry desk by a café, then they relocated the place of adults book next to the cafe, then a room for lecture instead of the childern's books. At the left of the entrance, they replaced the reading room by the computer room which was in the northern left, goong stright there is a area for all referances books in front of a storytelling events area with sofas and childern's finction book. At the centre,
the tables and chairs does not appear in the new plan, they removed it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main comparison—substantial changes alongside some relocated facilities—and describe several key areas in both plans. For example, you note the removal of the central tables and chairs, the replacement of the old reading room with a computer room, and the addition of a café and lecture room. However, some locations are unclear or inaccurate: the adult fiction area was not simply moved next to the café; it is in the middle-right area, with an information desk and self-service machines. The old children’s books room became a lecture room, while children’s fiction and storytelling are now in the top-left room. The overview is also broad, and several important changes are not clearly compared. Select the main transformations and report their positions precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and descriptions of the earlier and current plans. The use of time markers such as “Twenty years ago” and “At present” helps distinguish the two layouts. However, the progression within the descriptions is difficult to follow because directions shift between “from the entrance,” “from the left,” and “advancing,” without a consistent route or clear grouping. The long sentences also combine several locations, making comparisons hard to track. The final sentence repeats the point about the tables and chairs, and the response ends abruptly after “they removed it.” Organise each plan by side or area, then use concise comparisons to connect corresponding changes.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for describing a library plan, including “relocated,” “replaced,” “reading room,” and “adult non-fiction books.” These terms help communicate the main changes. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spelling errors make the description less precise, such as “aminities,” “stuff,” “outdoor for the adult fiction book area,” and “electronics like video games and cds.” Some phrases are also awkward for a floor plan, including “advancing you will face” and “from the entrance in the right.” Use standard spatial language and accurate facility names, such as “to the right of the entrance,” “open-plan area,” and “media room.” Check spelling and use “facilities” rather than “amenities” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences using “where,” “however,” and “then,” but these complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some relationships difficult to understand. For example, “The plans compares” has subject–verb disagreement, while “they were so many changes” uses the wrong construction. There are also problems with articles and sentence structure in “a enquiry desk” and “from the entrance directly at the centre there were 2 tables.” The final section contains a fragment-like ending and an unclear shift in tense. Use shorter, complete sentences with a consistent past tense for the earlier plan and present tense for the current one. Then check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
