Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given images compares the a public library floor plan from 2 decades ago and how it is build in recent time.
It shows major changes and upgradtion in the floor plan as there are no tables placed in the library. The floor plan back 20 years ago shows specific room for decicated work which includes a seprate are for each genre of books.
Whereas, today's library has a dedicated room to fuel up people for studying it has a cafe, and a seprate computer room. Also storytelling aea has been build with sofas and combined it with children's fiction books. there is a lecture room which instantly gives accses to the students to immediately go for study which was missing back in 2006.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify that the plan has changed and mention several genuine additions, including a café, computer room, storytelling area and lecture room. However, the response only partially reports the visual: it gives little account of the major rearrangements, such as reference books replacing adult fiction on the left, the information desk and self-service machines in the adult-fiction area, or the former enquiry desk and reading room disappearing. The claim that the library has “no tables” is too broad; the old central tables and chairs have been removed, but the plan does not establish that there are no tables anywhere. The comparison with “2006” is unsupported, as the task says 20 years ago. The response is also 26 words below the required minimum. Develop a clear overview and report more key changes accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic progression: it introduces the comparison, comments on the earlier plan, and then describes some features of the current library. “Whereas” signals a contrast, and the ideas are generally possible to follow. However, the organisation is not fully controlled: the second paragraph combines several unrelated changes, and the opening claim about tables is not clearly connected to the later details. The final sentence adds a study-related interpretation rather than completing a systematic comparison. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and for grouped changes, and organise details by location or by what was removed and added. More precise linking and reference would help the reader follow how each area changed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “floor plan,” “dedicated room,” “computer room,” “storytelling” and “lecture room,” so the main subject is usually recognisable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled expressions weaken clarity: “upgradtion,” “decicated,” “seprate,” “aea” and “accses.” Some choices are also imprecise, such as “fuel up people for studying” and “instantly gives accses,” which do not naturally describe library facilities. Aim for accurate map vocabulary and collocations, for example “facilities,” “designated area,” “was converted into” and “is accessed from.” Proofreading spelling and choosing neutral descriptive language would make the account more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and more extended sentences, but control is uneven, particularly in the longer constructions. The opening has an agreement and article problem in “images compares the a public library,” while “how it is build in recent time” uses an incorrect verb form and tense. The sentence beginning “Whereas, today's library…” is not a complete, well-formed contrast, and “Also storytelling… has been build… and combined it” has unclear structure and inconsistent verb forms. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise forming complete comparison sentences with accurate past and present forms, such as “The former reading room has been replaced by a computer room,” and check articles, agreement and punctuation when editing.
