The cafe used to be and enquiry desk 2 decades ago. The CDs room is now dorm for story telling events, with children's fiction books. The reading room is now a cumputer room. The room which held the children books is now built into a lecture room. The main hall of the library now contain 2 round tables with chairs all around. The Information desk is now placed in the centre of adult fiction books, and self service machines, which are not available 2 decades before.

The adult non fiction books are no where too find any more. They also added all references books.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify several relevant changes, including the conversion of the former reading room into a computer room, the children’s-books room into a lecture room, and the addition of an information desk and self-service machines. However, the response gives only a limited account of the plans and does not provide a clear, accurate overview of the main changes. Some details are reversed or misread: the former CDs room became a children’s fiction/storytelling room, not the lecture room, and the central area had tables and chairs 20 years ago; these have been removed today. The claim that the café used to be the enquiry desk is also inaccurate: the café is new, while the former enquiry desk area is now part of the adult-fiction section. Select the main changes carefully and compare the two layouts accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response contains some relevant comparisons, and the repeated use of “now” helps signal that you are describing the present layout. However, the information is not arranged in a clear progression: the opening paragraph lists changes, while the next paragraph repeats some of them and introduces further details without a consistent route through the plan. For example, the reading-room/computer-room change is stated twice, and the central tables are described as present-day features even though they were removed. Organise the response into a brief overview followed by paragraphs comparing areas in a consistent order, such as left side, central area, then right side. Use clear references to distinguish the former and current layouts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “converted,” “self-service machines,” “adult fiction,” and “reference books,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “social linbrary,” “cuputer,” “cumputer,” and “no where too find.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “dorm” does not describe a room for storytelling events, and “built into a room” is unclear when describing a change in use. Aim for accurate map vocabulary and collocations, such as “was converted into,” “was replaced by,” and “is located in.” Proofread spelling carefully, especially for key labels from the diagram.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few different sentence patterns, including a relative clause in “The room which held the children books…” and a longer sentence about the information desk and machines. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence construction, tense, agreement, articles, and punctuation are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “The main hall … now contain” needs subject–verb agreement, while “The cafe used to be and enquiry desk” has an incorrect article and an unclear structure. The sentence beginning “The major change…” is followed by a lower-case “the,” creating a punctuation problem. Use consistent past and present forms to compare the plans, and check each sentence for a complete structure, correct articles, and agreement.
