In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some country like usa there people owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. it is an positive situation it have several reason we will disucsee in above paragraph.
In resent year usa is become main spot for emigrent given that there is more earning in usa neverthless the rent of house increased significantly and rate of rent is highly went up in resent year. Now people are prefere to buy house becaues 2 part of ther salary goes into the rent thet why the house which are cheaper thay are buying for there living for example a person is working in wallmart and his salary is 1000 doller a month and rent is 300 to 400 doller a month then he will prefer to buy a house on a lone and pay the interest on that instade of giving rent to other.
If a person is leaving on rent and any suspeasus thing happen with landlord and says that clear room immidiatly and leave form hear at that time that person dose not have any option to clear instade of this that person have there owne house and instade of giving rent he payed the intrest to the bank in long that can help to buit an fully lone free house for there no body can kick out form you house.
In conclusion, I say that having owne house help to people to invest there leftover money to any other place. If person is leaving on rent then his or her money got wested.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: you suggest that rising rents encourage people to buy, and you clearly state that home ownership is positive. The example comparing a worker’s salary with monthly rent helps illustrate the financial reason, while the landlord scenario introduces security as another benefit. However, these ideas are only partly developed, and the conclusion adds that owners can invest leftover money without explaining this point. The opening is also unclear about whether you are discussing the USA or countries generally. The response contains 247 words, so it is three words below the 250-word minimum; the 12 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop each reason more clearly and ensure the response meets the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
Your response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The first body paragraph focuses on rent and affordability, while the second discusses the security of owning a home, so the reader can identify your main points. However, progression within sentences is often difficult to follow, and links such as “neverthless,” “that why” and “instade of this” are either inaccurate or unclear. The introduction’s promise to discuss reasons “in above paragraph” does not guide the reader effectively. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each explanation to its main point with accurate, varied linking phrases. Clearer references to people and their homes would also make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “rent,” “salary,” “interest,” “landlord” and “invest,” and these words help communicate your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, particularly “house,” “rent” and “person.” Frequent spelling errors, such as “emigerent,” “prefered” and “wested,” make the writing less clear, while phrases such as “main spot” and “clear room” are not natural in this context. Aim to learn accurate collocations for housing and finance, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you express the contrast between renting costs, mortgage payments and long-term ownership.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example beginning “If a person is leaving on rent,” and you use “because” to explain a reason. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “it is an positive situation it have several reason” joins ideas without correct punctuation and has agreement errors; “usa is become” also uses an incorrect verb form. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected explanation. Review subject–verb agreement, articles and past or present verb forms, then check punctuation between complete sentences.
