In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, people give priority to having own house instead of rented one in many nations. There are several reasons behind this such as offers independence and privacy. I strongly believe that this is a positive development because it saves great amount of money and eradicate the risk of shifting from one house to another.
Examining the reasons, the one of the prime cause is that individuals know the value of houses. To explain it, apartments provide a sense of satisfaction and full independence to families. By paying intention towards construct their own home definitely allow them a secured life as home is considered as the first choice in today world. Moreover, the monthly expenses of rented house is comparatively higher and become obstacles for many citizens to sort out. At last, people become homeless as they fail to clear financial amount. This situation can count as threatening and people began survive live in footpath. For example, major Indian cities have this type of scenario. Therefore, to raise privacy and stress free life individuals tend to survive in their own apartments.
Nevertheless, it is a beneficial development becusse of several outputs. The primary advantage is that it completely eliminates the amount that citizens pay to house owners. If individuals are living in rented house it will be good for them to mange money and contruct their own homes.Government also started various initiatives which main role is to provide a stable living apartment so that needy people are not suffered. For instance, housing campaigns had launched in various nation to allow a single house to people so that foothpath situation should be finished. Hence, allow satisfaction and maintain money.
To conclude, although this trend increases with the time of choosing own houses rather than depended on rented house, it shows a positive impact in various life. It removes stress and soceity problem that has been raised in past time. These allow privacy and security to many families.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that people value independence, privacy and security, and you clearly state that home ownership is positive. The discussion of rental costs and the risk of losing accommodation is relevant, and the examples of housing initiatives help illustrate your view. However, some points are not fully explained or are difficult to follow. For instance, the claim that owning a home “saves great amount of money” needs qualification, since buying a home also involves substantial costs. The government initiatives example is also more about providing housing than explaining why ownership matters to individuals. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation and ensure examples directly support the point being made.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on benefits and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “For instance” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from rental expenses to homelessness and then privacy without showing the connections between these ideas. Some transitions are mechanical, and references such as “This situation” and “These” do not always make their meaning clear. The second body paragraph also repeats the idea of financial benefit rather than developing a distinct supporting point. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the claim it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “independence,” “privacy,” “financial,” “initiatives” and “security,” which allows you to discuss the issue beyond very basic terms. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make ideas harder to understand. Phrases such as “paying intention towards construct,” “clear financial amount” and “survive live in footpath” are not natural or precise in this context. There are also spelling errors, including “becusse,” “mange” and “foothpath.” Aim for accurate, natural combinations of words and check spelling carefully. For example, describe people as “struggling to pay rent” or “at risk of eviction,” rather than using unclear expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause in “because it saves…” and a conditional structure beginning “If individuals are living…”. The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “the one of the prime cause” has an incorrect article and number, while “the monthly expenses … is” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “By paying intention towards construct their own home definitely allow…,” the sentence structure and verb forms are not controlled. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “in rented house.” Work on building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles and verb forms when editing.
