Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You identify a relevant reason for renting: people may move abroad for work or study and may not have enough money to buy a home. However, the response only partly answers the question. It does not clearly explain why owning a home is especially important in some countries, and it gives no clear opinion on whether this situation is positive or negative. The discussion of European housing costs and owners renting out their properties is difficult to connect to the question and is not developed with clear explanation or examples. The response is also 106 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to address both parts adequately. State your position directly, then develop several relevant reasons with supporting details.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0

There is a basic sequence of related points: the response moves from renting and housing costs to people travelling for work or study. This gives the reader some sense of the topic. However, the writing is presented as one continuous block, with no paragraphing to separate the reasons or the writer’s view. Connections between ideas are often unclear; for example, the point that some owners rent out their houses is followed by “by this way they can aran money,” then shifts to foreign workers and students without explaining the relationship. The repeated use of “and” also makes the progression feel like a list. Organise the response into an introduction, focused body paragraphs, and a conclusion, using clear links between each point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “rent houses,” “high cost,” “earning money,” “work,” and “study,” so the general subject can be recognised. There are also attempts to express more specific ideas, such as “the top universities of the world.” However, the range is narrow and several phrases are repeated, particularly “rent houses” and “own house.” Spelling errors such as “foren,” “urapian,” “eroupe,” and “aran” make the writing less clear, while expressions such as “the house maker” do not convey the intended meaning precisely. Build a wider set of accurate housing and finance terms, and check spelling and collocations so your ideas are easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, including the sentence beginning “people go to foren countries for work are study,” and uses basic structures to communicate reasons. However, sentence boundaries and grammatical relationships are often unclear. For example, “people like to live in rent hose in urape” lacks accurate article and preposition use, while “they can lived in rent houses” has an incorrect verb form. Subject–verb agreement and pronouns are also problematic in “the peple lived there in rent houses rather than living in his own house.” Punctuation is largely absent, creating run-on sentences that make the meaning harder to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses and check verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence punctuation.
