Student answer (Band 6.5)

As having your own home is one the biggest blessing of Allah . Home is something which can not be avoided . All of struggles which a men do is just to buy their own house where their family can live peacefully lead a impeccable life which some one cannot lead in an rented apartment .so having your own house is very crucial in this era . And I strongly agree that it is a positive thing which every country should promote and help their citizen to get their personal home .

To start off there are numerous which an individual face if he has not his own home . Like just take a case that you are living in a rented apartment and if some thing just suddenly stops working the first problem which you will face is to wait for owner that he gets it repaired and it takes a lot of time it just simply diminish the quality of life you are living because you can make any changes on your own in a rented apartment , you are fully dependent on some one for even the smallest basic necessity of your house to be fulfilled by some one else .so its better to struggle hard in your prime era and get tour own house so that you can live life according to you and which is not bounded by some one else .

when you have your own house you can decorate it according to your taste . You can make changes according to you .As home is something which every citizen deserves to get it is because when you have home the basic thing then you will be start thinking to achieve some thing else in the road of success home is your first stop and then you move forward to something else.

In a nutshell every one in this world deserves to get his own home so that their life feels meaningful .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why home ownership is important and whether it is a positive or negative situation. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument about home maintenance is valid but could be expanded with more sophisticated reasoning regarding financial stability or long-term investment. The position is clear throughout, but the supporting arguments rely heavily on personal preference rather than broader societal or economic analysis. To reach a higher band, you should provide more varied reasons and explore the implications of your position more thoroughly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is occasionally hindered by awkward transitions and sentence structure. While you use some cohesive devices like 'To start off' and 'In a nutshell', the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'there are numerous which an individual face', where the noun being referred to is missing. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs could be improved by ensuring each sentence clearly builds upon the previous one to create a more cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You use some basic terms repeatedly, such as 'home' and 'house'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, for example, 'impeccable life' and 'diminish the quality of life' are used in contexts that feel slightly unnatural. While the meaning is always clear, the lack of variety and occasional inaccuracies in word choice limit the score. Incorporating more topic-specific vocabulary related to housing, finance, or social stability would improve your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'All of struggles which a men do'), missing articles, and incorrect preposition usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences being run-on or lacking necessary commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like pluralisation and verb tense consistency.
