Student answer (Band 6.5)
In some countries, people believe that owning a home rather than renting one is very good idea for them. It has some benefits and disadvantages also. I will be discuss both impact in further paragraph.
In positive impact, people think if they buy home so it has some benefits for them like they do not need to pay rent for home. Also they get freedom from society like no owner disturb him for empty their home. In addition, people can add furniture from their own designs and paint them. For example, In USA, people want to buy their own home because they think if they renting home so it may some limits for them like they do not use car parking space. Sometimes, owner family disturb them while, any function at home or guest come at home.
In negative impact, some people think if they renting home so it may very difficult for them like they need to pay rent every month from their salary and they do not manage their living cost while renting home because home rent is very high and salary less compare to rent. In addition, people disturb from noise pollution from their owner. For example, sometimes owner fight for paying electricity bill or other bills if they do not pay at time.
In my opinion, owning a home has both impact on people like some advantages of it or disadvantages also but i recommend it has positive impact like people get freedom from society and owner.
In conclusion, If people have enough money for owning home so they should purchase their own home rather than live in renting home.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the importance of home ownership and the writer's opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the arguments regarding 'freedom from society' and 'owner disturbance' are mentioned in both the positive and negative paragraphs, leading to a lack of depth. The position is clear, but the supporting examples, such as the reference to the USA, are quite general and do not fully illustrate the complexity of the issue. To improve, ensure each paragraph introduces distinct, well-developed points rather than repeating similar concepts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical and repetitive (e.g., 'In addition', 'For example', 'In conclusion'). There are also issues with referencing; for example, the phrase 'In positive impact' is not a standard way to introduce a paragraph. The logical flow between sentences is sometimes hindered by grammatical errors, making the progression of ideas feel slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Words like 'good', 'benefits', 'disturb', and 'home' are used frequently. There is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'empty their home' (likely meaning 'vacate') or 'any function at home' (likely meaning 'social gatherings'). To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to housing and finance, such as 'financial stability', 'property investment', 'landlord-tenant disputes', or 'autonomy'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'if they renting home so it may very difficult' and 'I will be discuss both impact'. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and tense consistency (e.g., 'people disturb from noise pollution'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally require the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring correct verb forms before attempting more complex structures.
