Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why renting is important and whether it is a positive or negative situation. However, the development is inconsistent. While you provide reasons for renting, the discussion on whether it is positive or negative is underdeveloped. You mention 'sense of security' as a merit of owning, but you do not fully explain why you believe renting is a 'positive outcome' beyond a brief mention. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with clear examples and logical reasoning. Your position is clear, but the supporting evidence lacks depth in the second half of the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'First and foremost', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are awkward, such as 'due to stated situation' or 'can not out looked'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical progression of your arguments. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, but it is somewhat limited and repetitive. You use basic terms like 'income factor' and 'positive outcome' multiple times. There are also several instances of incorrect word choice or collocation, such as 'renting of houses' instead of 'renting houses' and 'out looked' instead of 'overlooked'. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to housing and economics. While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated lexical items prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. For example, 'According to me even though it depend on different people but it can be classified' contains subject-verb agreement issues and redundant conjunctions. You also have errors with prepositions and articles, such as 'in some f the countries'. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often faulty. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy—specifically subject-verb agreement and correct word order—will help you achieve a higher score.
