Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: why home ownership is important and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding 'vibes' and 'decorations' are somewhat superficial and repetitive. While a position is clear, the supporting points lack depth and academic rigor. To improve, you should expand on the economic or psychological benefits of home ownership with more sophisticated reasoning, such as long-term financial stability or the concept of 'equity' versus 'sunk costs' in renting.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is often disjointed. There is a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices; the text relies heavily on simple transitions like 'For instances' and 'On the other side'. Some sentences are fragmented, and the logical progression between the benefits of ownership and the drawbacks of renting is not always smooth. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') would help the reader follow your argument more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'own home is own vibes' and 'take tension' are non-standard and imprecise. There is an attempt to use some topic-related vocabulary, such as 'material prices' and 'ownership', but the overall range is limited. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate more precise collocations and academic vocabulary, such as 'financial security', 'property investment', or 'landlord-tenant regulations', rather than relying on informal or vague expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles ('owning home'), incorrect verb forms ('you decor'), and punctuation issues. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors that impede clarity, such as 'own home helpful for coming generations'. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and proper sentence structure is essential.
