Student answer (Band 5.0)
Throughout the history of mankind human discovers that there are two thing necessary for the survival ; Shelter and Food .revolution in the history like agriculture revolution and industrial revolution have drag humans into a new race of materialism where shelter is called "Home". In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people.
In most of the developing nations or underdeveloped people want to own their home rather then renting one because there are no such government infrastructure which provide them job security. while in the developed nations have job security one can sue the company for firing with no reason so in developed nations people often lives in rental apartments.you can save your rent money
If we look on the other side of the aisle owing a house in very expensive thing and more expensive in developing nations where are you struggling with wages and no job security so it is deadlock for peoples.
I think it is negative thing you should only own house when you are able to buy five more .First goal is to stabilize your self rather than putting yourself in deadlock like bank loans.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 196 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay addresses both parts of the prompt—explaining why home ownership is important and offering an opinion on whether it is positive or negative—the arguments are underdeveloped. The explanation regarding job security and infrastructure is simplistic, and the opinion is stated briefly without sufficient supporting evidence or logical expansion. To improve, you must elaborate on your points with specific examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for a full discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is weak. Transitions between ideas are often missing or abrupt, such as the sudden shift from discussing developed nations to the advice about saving rent money. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical. For instance, the phrase 'If we look on the other side of the aisle' is used incorrectly in this context. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary depth to create a smooth progression of ideas. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits the ability to convey complex ideas. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'human discovers' instead of 'humans have discovered' and 'deadlock for peoples'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient for a higher band score, as it lacks the precision and variety expected in an academic essay. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms. For example, instead of repeating 'expensive', you could use terms like 'financially burdensome' or 'prohibitively costly' to add sophistication to your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('human discovers'), article usage ('the agriculture revolution'), and sentence structure (run-on sentences and fragments). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with spaces placed incorrectly before punctuation marks. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb tenses and pluralization, and work on constructing error-free sentences before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
