Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, many people have been working as a professional jobs in the world. It is believed that, in numerous countries purchasing a house rather than renting one is very significant for society. I think this a positive development rather than negative development. I discuss both the views and give my reasons.
To embark with, some individuals are owing a house and property because they have saved money on properties and lands. It is more benefit for future because the land valuation increase in day by day. As a results, some rich people are buying more house and organizing according own taste. For example, The well-known city is Surat, Many individuals have brought a wonderful organize house because they prefer to live in own house instead of renting home. In addition, a wide range of professional person work as a Doctor, Lawyer, and Teacher, they are investing money on houses and shops because after they can saves money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, identifying reasons for home ownership and expressing a clear opinion. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While you mention financial investment and land valuation, the explanation is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. The second body paragraph, which discusses renting, is slightly off-topic as the prompt asks why ownership is important and whether it is positive or negative, rather than a comparison of the two lifestyles. To improve, ensure each paragraph directly supports your stated position and provides more nuanced reasoning rather than listing general observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, 'To embark with' is not a standard transition, and 'As a results' is used incorrectly. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making the flow between sentences feel disjointed. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that pronouns and references clearly point back to the intended subjects to improve the overall logical progression.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'professional jobs' instead of 'professional careers' and 'organizing according own taste'. You rely on basic vocabulary, and there are errors in word formation, such as 'owing a house' instead of 'owning'. To improve, focus on learning collocations (words that naturally go together) and try to incorporate more sophisticated, topic-specific vocabulary related to economics and housing markets.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('land valuation increase'), article usage ('The well-known city is Surat'), and incorrect verb forms ('many individuals have brought' instead of 'bought'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that articles and prepositions are used correctly.
