Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 164 words. Consequently, the development of ideas is significantly restricted. While you identify reasons for home ownership—such as financial security and the avoidance of rent—the arguments are repetitive and lack the depth required for an academic essay. You mention that home ownership is a positive situation, but the explanation remains superficial. To improve, you must expand each point with specific examples or logical consequences and ensure you address all parts of the prompt with sufficient detail to meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks a clear paragraph structure, which makes the progression of ideas difficult to follow. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and ideas logically. For instance, the transition between the financial burden of renting and the emotional benefit of decorating is abrupt. The use of referencing is also unclear at times, such as in the phrase 'starts to take over them,' where the pronoun reference is confusing. To improve, you should organize your essay into clear paragraphs—introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion—and use linking words like 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' or 'in contrast' to improve flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple words like 'home,' 'people,' and 'poor.' There is little attempt to use academic or topic-specific vocabulary related to housing, economics, or social stability. Phrases like 'they become worry' are grammatically incorrect and indicate a limited range of expression. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to incorporate more precise terminology, such as 'financial stability,' 'property investment,' or 'tenancy agreements,' and work on using words in their correct form (e.g., 'they become worried' instead of 'they become worry').

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'that have to pay'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'they become worry'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'if payment of rent is not given to us, we will say them to get out'). The range of structures is very limited, relying mostly on simple sentences. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, correct verb tenses, and the proper use of articles and pronouns. Practicing complex sentence structures will also help improve your range.
