Student answer (Band 5.5)
Renting home or buying home, is one of the most essential topic within everyone's life. Many people shows an interest in buying home, by spending their all assets, while others prefers to rent an apartment.
Every individual suffering from their own life's chaos. In my point of view, regardless of being biased, there are different opinions present having their owns pros and cons.
Come up with the idea of buying homes, in some countries people wanted to purchase house or apartments for themselves, by utilizing all of their wealth. They believe that, investments on homes gives them a profit in return, which will double in the amount that was spent. Individual wants one time investment then will take advantage of their resident place for their whole life. The do not want to pay rents monthly, do not wanted to take stress about giving a large portion of money for their rented house. They used that money in building something more valuable for their family and coming generations.
On the other side, instead of shopping apartment, some person rented an apartment because they have limited resources for the survival for their life. Then they find the place where facilities are easily accessible. They try to spend their money over their children to get education. They give them a chance to get rid from dailt life struggling.
In conclusion, both of the opinions are right in their owns ways, people who are wealthy trying to secure their future by buying home o=and other sort of asset, while middle class people , try to mange their regular mess of life and ambitious to bring out their family from life chaos.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the importance of home ownership and an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention financial security as a reason for buying, the discussion on whether this is positive or negative is underdeveloped and lacks a clear, consistent stance. The conclusion mentions that both opinions are 'right,' which fails to provide a definitive evaluation of the situation as requested. To improve, ensure each paragraph provides a more nuanced exploration of the implications of home ownership versus renting, rather than simply listing general observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Come up with the idea of buying homes' to start a paragraph, which is not a standard transition. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. For example, the transition from discussing financial benefits to the stress of renting feels abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the logical progression of your arguments.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'shopping apartment' instead of 'purchasing a property' or 'regular mess of life.' Some phrasing is repetitive, and there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'dailt' (spelling) and 'ambitious' used as a verb. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to finance and housing, while ensuring that your word choices sound natural in an formal context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('Many people shows', 'Individual wants'), incorrect verb tenses ('do not wanted to take stress'), and missing articles or prepositions. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences and unnecessary commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the text from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent verb tense usage throughout your writing.
