Student answer (Band 5.0)

Form my precpective, there are nagative and positive results on this situation.

Firstly, many positive results show when in any country own house buy or allready present that time. Many regular cost are reduced such as House rent, not any problem if any create any changes in house also benifit is anything construction outside of house. For instance, last year in america many people bought new apartment or house because of landlords issues.

On the other hand renting one is important for people because when newly shifted new country that time not enough cost for buy own house also extra money use in maintanence, and other pay bills such as light, water.

Whenever any people are stay in rented house that is only pay house rant and bills not other pay. It compaire to own house if any items are diffect then for repair pay money but in renting house not any repairing cost. In own house various types decorate the room and items are put in house also not a restriction people enter. Also orgaise partys and various taritional function at home.

Furthermore in some countries buy own house is very costly compared to rent house also those are varified everything about buyers. That time positive situation in rent house.

In conclusion, both positive and negative side but, when newly seteal in country that time prefer rent house compair bought own house. Moreover, in new place it is crucial owing a home after well settle. For example, last month my friend going to yhe usa and currently she is leaving in rent house because of ahe was a student.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the importance of home ownership and an opinion on whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments regarding the benefits of ownership (reduced costs, freedom to renovate) and the advantages of renting (flexibility, lower initial costs) are presented but lack depth and clear logical progression. The position is somewhat inconsistent, as the conclusion focuses more on the transition from renting to owning rather than clearly evaluating the situation as a whole. Some points, such as the mention of 'landlords issues' in America, are too brief to be fully convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. While some linking words like 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' are used, they are often followed by sentences that do not clearly connect to the previous point. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. The transition between ideas is mechanical rather than fluid, and the paragraph structure is somewhat disjointed, which hinders the overall coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'cost', 'house', and 'money'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'newly shifted new country' instead of 'moved to a new country' and 'diffect' instead of 'defective'. The student struggles to express more complex ideas due to a restricted range of vocabulary. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of precision and the presence of spelling errors (e.g., 'orgaise', 'taritional', 'seteal') indicate a limited lexical range that struggles to convey nuanced arguments effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are often grammatically incorrect. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article usage, and tense consistency, such as 'Whenever any people are stay' and 'she is leaving in rent house'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect sentence boundaries. These errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, as the meaning of certain sentences is obscured by the lack of grammatical control. A wider range of error-free complex structures is needed to reach a higher band.
