Student answer (Band 6.0)
brainstorm: positive
1. gives/provides sense of security, comfort, worryless life with family
2. sense of ownership,no fear of future. sustainbility, protection
In certain nations, buying a house rather than renting one on lease is very essential for many individuals. The reasons for this case can be many such as provides security, comfort, ownership, fearfree future, protection and some other. In my opinion this is a positive development. The essay will discuss few of the positive situations.
To commence with, owning a home is very important for people as it gives them security and fearless future. In other words, renting a home is very difficult with changes in current market. Finding a good deal in low prices is very hard along with good environment. Furthermore, people with family needs total assurance of home as they require a home that provides them a long term safety and no fear of losing a house. For instance, many people with family relocating to other city for work have to manage and find a good house as it involves the security of their children.
In addition to this, buying a home reduces the burden of worrying over unneccessary things and offers a sense of ownership and protection. In other words, most family's concern are they require a freedom to call their own home along with the lifelong shelter from being homeless. To exemplify, good house permits great facilities and have permission to alter or change the interior.
In conclusion, renting a home has its own demerits such as no security of home, protection of family members. While buying own house provides people sustainibility along with comfort.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by identifying reasons why owning a home is important and taking a clear position that this is a positive situation. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the reasons given in the introduction (security, comfort, ownership, fear-free future) are restated across the body paragraphs without sufficient extension or concrete real-world elaboration. While the first body paragraph attempts to explain the need for long-term safety, the second body paragraph remains quite brief and generalized regarding interior alterations. The inclusion of brainstorm notes at the top is unnecessary but does not heavily penalize the score. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, aligning best with a Band 6.0 descriptor.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points. However, logical progression is sometimes hindered by mechanical and repetitive cohesive devices, such as starting multiple sentences with 'In other words' or 'Furthermore'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'most family's concern are they require a freedom'. Cohesive devices are over-used and sometimes inaccurate in context, which places the response securely at Band 6.0 for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'sustainability', 'demerits', and 'fearless future'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors, such as 'fearfree future', 'low prices' instead of 'low prices/rents', and grammatical slip-ups in word forms like 'unneccessary'. Spelling is generally acceptable with minor lapses. The vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main ideas, but inaccuracies prevent the score from reaching Band 7.0, making a Band 6.0 appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and introductory prepositional phrases. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are several noticeable errors in grammar and punctuation, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('most family's concern are they require'), missing articles ('finding a good house as it involves'), and awkward phrasing ('with changes in current market'). While these errors do not severely impede overall communication, they occur with enough frequency to prevent the writing from achieving a Band 6.5 or 7.0, supporting a Band 5.5 score.
