Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address both parts of the prompt, mentioning why home ownership is important (financial security and stability) and giving an opinion that this is a positive situation. However, the ideas are severely underdeveloped, repetitive, and disjointed. Furthermore, the response suffers from a major length penalty, containing only 168 words against the required 250-word minimum. Due to this under-length constraint and the limited development of ideas, the response falls into the lower band categories. Phrases like 'owning a house provide financial security' touch on relevant concepts, but the lack of elaboration prevents the task from being fully answered. Consequently, the score reflects these significant shortcomings in content development and word count.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The text shows an attempt at basic paragraphing and uses some simple cohesive devices such as 'Firstly,' and 'Secondly,' to structure the essay. However, the logical progression breaks down frequently due to fragmented sentences and incoherent phrasing, such as 'To comments some people donot any tension with continue studies'. Referencing is often unclear, and ideas lack smooth transitions. The paragraphing is erratic, and the conclusion is abruptly cut off at 'positive responce for fina'. Overall, the information and ideas are not arranged coherently enough to reach a higher band, reflecting structural issues that disrupt the flow of reading.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with frequent word choice and collocation errors, such as 'owning a home rather then renting home', 'several a log term benefits', and 'posituve response'. There are numerous spelling and morphological mistakes, including 'thatwhy', 'donot', and 'vry important'. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'financial security' and 'renovation', but fails to use them accurately. The range of vocabulary is barely adequate to communicate the basic argument, and lexical errors frequently strain the reader's understanding.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences that are often ungrammatical. There are frequent and systematic errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'owning a house provide'), missing articles, incorrect prepositions, and faulty tense usage. Complex sentence attempts are rare and completely ungrammatical, such as 'To begin with some people not afford a monthly house rent thatwhy in my opinion this is a positive situation'. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing spaces and incomplete sentences throughout the text. These frequent errors impede communication and demonstrate weak control over basic grammar.
