Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify several reasons why home ownership may matter, including social respect, privacy, and avoiding a landlord’s rules, and you give examples such as restrictions on visitors and inspections. However, the response does not clearly answer both parts of the question. The reasons are mixed with advantages of renting, and the final sentence is unfinished, so your overall judgement of whether this situation is positive or negative is not stated. Some points, such as gaining respect from owning a large house, are asserted rather than explained. To strengthen the response, explain the reasons people value ownership, then state and support a clear positive or negative view throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs and use signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “For instance.” These help the reader recognise that you are introducing different points. However, the progression is difficult to follow because ideas shift within paragraphs: the first body paragraph moves from social status to privacy and parties, while the second combines housing insecurity, damage rules, visitor restrictions, and inspections. Some links are unclear, and the conclusion begins with “In these issues occur” but does not complete the thought. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect each example directly to that idea, and finish with a complete conclusion that answers the question.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “privacy,” “permanent house,” “serving notices,” and “damaging his property,” which shows an attempt to discuss housing and tenancy. However, the range is basic and several inaccurate or awkward expressions make meaning harder to follow, such as “owner house,” “hand in it,” and “we rise the level in our society.” Spelling errors such as “eassy” and “invinting” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn natural collocations for this topic and check word forms and spelling. For example, use “owning a home,” “deal with renting,” and “improve our social standing” to express your ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “If you younger children draw a drawing then the owner is shouting,” and you use basic present-tense statements to explain your points. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction frequently make the message difficult to understand. Examples include “owner have a right,” “everyone is give him respect,” and “you do not permission anyone.” The final sentence is also incomplete. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “if,” and “when.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and correctly formed verb.
