Student answer (Band 4.0)
The importance of owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people because it is always debatable and now more controversial with many people claiming that it is beneficial, while others dispute this notion. The substancial influence of this trend has sparked controversy over its potential impact in recent years. This essay will further elaborate my views in favour of te positive impact of this trend and thus will lead to a logical conclusion. There are several reasons in favour of my stance. One of the most important point is that a owning home is always best one rather than renting. It can also possibility to make his own property. It should also be taken into account that we can live our own house freely. For example, I have my own house and I construct anything there whatever I want to design. Owning home with a wide range of advantages, own home can not only improve one's effectiveness but also improve the productivity and quality of their life with greater convenience. On the other hand, some information include that it can also help individuals and excel in various areas. It should also be taken be taken into account of own home. In conclusion, while own home can be an indicator of helping their own children , a judicious use of anything having in his own home and critical balance is necessary between own home than a renting. Consequently, it is undeniably significant for all of us to understand all this situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response takes a broadly positive position, especially in the opening and conclusion, and gives one relevant reason: owning a home allows people to live and make changes freely. However, the task asks both why home ownership is important in some countries and whether this is positive or negative; the reasons are not clearly explained, and the discussion of the opposing view is vague (“some information include”) rather than a developed point. The example about designing your own house helps illustrate personal freedom, but the other claims about productivity and children are not explained. The response is also 11 words below the 250-word minimum; the 12 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop two clear reasons and support each with explanation or an example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is an identifiable opening, a body section and a conclusion, and phrases such as “For example” and “In conclusion” signal the direction of the response. However, progression is difficult to follow because several sentences repeat or introduce ideas without explaining their connection. For instance, “It should also be taken into account” appears twice, and the paragraph shifts from personal freedom to productivity, then to an unclear opposing point. The conclusion introduces children and “a judicious use” without preparing these ideas earlier. Use separate paragraphs for the reasons and your evaluation, and make each sentence develop the point before moving on. Clearer links between claims and examples would improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response attempts some topic-related and formal vocabulary, including “controversial,” “beneficial,” “potential impact,” “convenience” and “productivity.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond very basic language. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “own home” and “important,” while several phrases are inaccurate or unclear, including “a owning home,” “make his own property” and “a judicious use of anything having in his own home.” There are also spelling errors, such as “substancial,” and some expressions sound memorised rather than suited to the point being made. Build a more precise set of housing-related phrases and check spelling and collocations so your meaning is easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast in the opening and a “not only…but also” construction. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure and grammatical forms frequently make the meaning unclear. Examples include “One of the most important point is that a owning home is always best one” and “It should also be taken be taken into account of own home.” The sentence beginning “Owning home with a wide range of advantages” is also incomplete, while the opening contains a run-on sentence with missing spacing after a full stop. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, agreement, and punctuation before submitting.
