In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

Student answer (Band 5.0)

ln many countries having own home is very benefical for people rather than renting and many people also wish these thing. In my view it helps us to improve the situation.

on the one hand, many people consider an important way to owner our home because they easily arranged all the things according to their taste. In addition, many people can protect themselves from their own homes because they can easily spend their life. Many people thought having own home is a blessing of Allah because they can easily spend their leisure time with their family.Take an example,of japan where these government also make polices and schemes who gave every people their own home because they consider having these thing play a significant role for their development.

While on the other hand, many people can avoid to live for rent houses because they consider plenty space not available their and any family not spend their life according wish. While others alspo dislike those houses because they consider the rent of these houses are very expensive, and some dislike these due improper sanitary condition. For instrance,in pakistan where every people should to live for rent because many problems.

From my prospective, having own home is a blessing of Allah because people can easily do any things that resticted from rent.Furthermore, having own home can play a postive impact for human life.

In conculation, having own homes can play an intrigual role for every people life and improve every country situation,so every country should focused the way to any people have their own home and also avoid for people to live their rent because they thick it a positive sign for any country and also improve the situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question: you suggest that ownership allows people to arrange a home to their taste and avoid rent, and you state that owning a home is positive. However, the reasons are only partly explained, and some claims are unclear or unsupported, such as the example about Japan’s policies and the statement about Pakistan. Your position is present in “having own home is a blessing” and “a positive sign,” but it is not consistently developed into a clear argument about why this situation is positive. To strengthen the response, explain the practical or emotional benefits in more detail and connect each example directly to your view. The conclusion also introduces a broad recommendation without fully summarising the reasons given.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the contrast signalled by “on the one hand” and “on the other hand” gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because ideas repeat and the relationship between them is not always clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from personal choice to family leisure and then to government policies, while the second combines space, rent costs and sanitation without developing a clear sequence. Linking phrases such as “While on the other hand” are also used awkwardly, and references such as “these thing” are unclear. Group related reasons together, use simpler transitions accurately, and make each paragraph develop one main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “sanitary condition,” “leisure time,” “significant role” and “positive impact.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “owner our home,” “spend their life” and “do any things that resticted from rent.” Repetition of “many people,” “own home” and “easily” also limits flexibility. There are noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “benefical,” “polices,” “instrance” and “conculation.” These issues sometimes make the reader work to understand your point. Build a bank of accurate housing-related phrases and check spelling and collocations; for example, use “own a home,” “live in rented accommodation” and “afford the rent.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to form longer sentences using clauses and connectors, as in “because they easily arranged all the things according to their taste,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur frequently: “many people can avoid to live,” “the rent … are very expensive,” and “every country should focused” are examples. Several sentences also lack the grammatical structure needed to express the intended meaning, particularly “any family not spend their life according wish.” Punctuation is often missing after introductory phrases, and commas sometimes divide sentences incorrectly. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses with correct verb forms—for example, “People prefer owning a home because they can arrange it to suit their needs.”
