Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You address both parts of the question to a limited extent: you suggest that owning is important because it can be a “life time investment” and avoids monthly rent, and you indicate that buying is preferable if someone can afford it. However, the reasons are repeated rather than explained, and the positive-or-negative judgement is only implied, not clearly stated or supported. The point that property prices are high in Pakistan is relevant, but it is not developed into an explanation of how this affects people or society. The response also falls 86 words short of the required minimum, leaving little space to develop the ideas. To improve, state your position directly and explain each reason with a specific consequence or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic line of thought: owning a home avoids rent, while high prices prevent some people from buying. However, nearly the entire response is one long sentence, so the reader has difficulty identifying where one idea ends and another begins. Connections such as “because,” “but,” and “if” are used, but they do not create a clear progression, and the contrast between the benefits of ownership and the difficulty of buying is not organised into separate stages. There is also no clear introduction, body structure, or concluding statement. Use paragraphs to group the reasons and your opinion, and build shorter sentences with clear links between them.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “property,” “rent,” “afford,” and “investment,” which makes the general topic understandable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, especially the repeated references to “rent” and “house,” and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “invesment,” “benifical,” and “loss of people.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “it is very important think for people” and “you have a condition to buy.” Build a wider range of accurate housing and finance vocabulary, and learn common collocations such as “buy a property,” “pay rent,” and “make a long-term investment.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to connect ideas using clauses with “because,” “when,” “if,” and “but,” showing some effort beyond isolated simple sentences. However, these structures are often joined into a single run-on sentence, and errors in sentence formation frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “when you bought the property or house you can spend money onetime” shifts tense and does not form a clear grammatical pattern; “many people have not condition” also has an incomplete structure. Articles, pronouns, and agreement need more consistent control. Practise writing short, complete sentences first, then combine them carefully, checking tense, subject–verb agreement, and punctuation.
