In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?

Student answer (Band 4.0)

In many countries, owner of the home is very imprtant renting system.some people believe that owner home is very strictly this behavriou in this case.in think is a positive situation.

On the other hand, owning home is very benefit rather renting .the own home very comfortable people easily decorated thing in own home .people enjoy this every function own home while people party arranged in the home and delious food and talk together and every thing very happy and enjoyable moment.

Om the other hand, the renting people very stressed thing in the home .every thing is charges pay able in the owner and charges every months increase in renting system home.renting homes every things not afforable in home .they visit the city and pay essential things.so they enjoy in the renting home.

In my opining, the renting home is very important people able to afforad home. owning of the home pay the charges in people which renting homes every this uses in the house .therefore the renting people steable to able the on homes is very important.

To conclude, the in some countries the people owning home renting systemis very important .the renting homes very afforadable charges rather than owning homes increase business in the homes very comfertable place.the owner every day in home and business very increase.so that some countries owning home rather than one is vert important for people.some people afforadable renting homes in every cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You give a clear, though brief, opinion in the opening (“I think is a positive situation”) and mention possible reasons such as comfort, decorating a home, and the rising monthly costs of renting. However, the response only partially answers the question: the reasons why home ownership is important in some countries are not clearly explained, and the discussion shifts between owning and renting without a consistent argument. The conclusion is also difficult to interpret and does not clearly restate your view. The response is 13 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop relevant ideas. To improve, explain one or two reasons in detail—for example, security or long-term financial stability—and support your positive or negative judgement with clear examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is an attempt to organise the response into paragraphs, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “To conclude” show awareness of how to signal a contrast and an ending. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the second paragraph describes benefits of owning a home, while the next discusses renting costs, and the later paragraph reverses or blurs these comparisons. Some sentences are difficult to connect, particularly the final paragraph, where the relationship between affordability, ownership, and business is unclear. Repeated use of “every thing” and “home” also makes the flow feel repetitive. Build a simple plan with one paragraph explaining why ownership matters, one evaluating whether this is positive or negative, and a conclusion that follows from those points.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “renting,” “charges,” “comfortable,” and “affordable,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or combinations make the intended meaning hard to follow, such as “owner home,” “very strictly this behaviour,” and “increase business in the homes.” Spelling errors, including “imprtant,” “behavriou,” and “comfertable,” also reduce clarity. Aim to learn accurate topic phrases and use them in context, such as “home ownership,” “monthly rent,” “housing costs,” and “financial security.” Replacing repeated general words with precise terms will help express your ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

You attempt to communicate through short statements and some longer sentences, but sentence structures are mostly simple and frequently incomplete or inaccurately formed. For example, “the own home very comfortable people easily decorated thing” lacks a clear verb and has unclear clause boundaries, while “the renting people very stressed thing in the home” does not form a complete grammatical statement. Articles, plurals, and agreement are also often missing or inconsistent, as in “owner of the home” and “every months increase.” Punctuation and spacing sometimes make sentence boundaries unclear. Practise building complete subject–verb–object sentences first, then connect them with “because,” “while,” or “therefore.” Check each sentence for a clear subject and verb before adding more detail.
