Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that home ownership can signal status, provide security, and act as an investment, then discuss the financial pressure it can create. However, the response only partially develops these points, which keeps the discussion limited. For example, the claim that owning a home shows success is not explained with a specific reason or example, and the investment point is not weighed against the costs. Your view is also not fully clear: the introduction promises to “conclude my idea,” while the conclusion mainly says that the choice depends on a person’s resources rather than stating whether this situation is positive or negative overall. State your position directly and support it with developed reasons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to the topic. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph moves from status and security to problems with landlords and then investment without showing how these points connect. The phrase “This case has both positive and negative results” signals a new section, but the following discussion focuses mostly on affordability and does not clearly separate the two sides. Some linking expressions, such as “Moreover” and “On the other hand,” are used, but the relationships between ideas remain basic or occasionally unclear. Organise the body around distinct reasons and effects, and use clearer referencing and transitions to guide the reader.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “status,” “secure,” “investment,” “limited income,” and “resources,” so the main ideas can be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the reader pause. For instance, “renting home is some time make trouble from the owner side” is not a natural way to describe difficulties with landlords, and “balance livehood” does not express the intended idea clearly. Spelling errors such as “belive,” “seccess,” and “proprties” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for housing costs, financial security and renting, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If someone who have limited income and buy an expensive house…”. However, these attempts are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement and sentence construction can make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “This essay discuss,” “a person who have,” and “this make huge impact”; these require subject–verb agreement and, in some cases, an article. The conditional sentence beginning “If someone who…” is also structurally incomplete, while the final sentence is unfinished, leaving the conclusion unclear. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and main verb, then check agreement and articles before adding more complex clauses.
