Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You give a relevant opinion: you prefer renting because buying a home requires substantial money, and you mention that a middle-class family might invest in a small business instead. However, the task also asks why home ownership is important in some countries, and this part is not explained. Your view is difficult to follow because you first say owning a home is the “best option” and then state that renting is better. The example is brief and the ideas are not developed with explanation or support. The response contains 104 words, below the required 250; the 8 words copied from the prompt are excluded from this count. To improve, explain reasons people value ownership, state one consistent position, and develop each point with a clear example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you state an opinion, introduce a reason with “for example,” and add another point with “secondly.” These signals show how you intend to connect ideas. However, the response has no clear paragraph structure or sustained progression, and the relationship between some statements is unclear. For instance, “However Own home is best option but my choice is renting house” gives conflicting directions rather than a clear transition. The final point about saving money repeats the affordability idea without showing how it advances the argument. Use separate paragraphs for the explanation of why ownership matters and your evaluation, then connect each supporting point explicitly to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “renting,” “own home,” “middle class,” “money,” and “small business,” so the reader can identify the general subject and your main affordability argument. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or spellings make the message less clear, such as “publics,” “own hose,” “faimly,” and “bussince.” Phrases such as “buy own saving” do not express the intended meaning clearly. To improve, learn accurate collocations for housing and finances, such as “purchase a home,” “afford a mortgage,” and “invest in a business.” Check spelling and use a wider range of precise terms rather than repeating “home” and “money.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to express reasons and contrast, including “because” and “However,” and the reader can recover the broad point that buying a home is expensive. However, sentence structures are mostly simple or incomplete, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “In my opinion is renting home is good” lacks a clear grammatical subject and article, while “the middle class faimly is not buy own home” has an incorrect verb pattern. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “that good ideas” and “However Own home.” Practise complete subject–verb sentences and basic patterns such as “a family cannot afford to buy a home,” then proofread each sentence.
