IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In few countries individuals believe that owning a house is more crucial than a reantal one. It have increased the responsibilities of young people, from my perspective it is a negetive situation. In this essay, i will discuss cases and my viwe of point about it.
Individuals of some countries do trust, make relations, judge weaith and give respect on the behalf of owning a home because, lack of strict rules or better government people have trust issues on other individuals moreover, people see a beautiful home of man before girls marrige. People face many diffcultes in socity if they have not own house. For instance, if a man has a massive home than, parenst of girl can do compromise on mans charecter and earning but, they can not do any compromise on home consequently individuals give first periorty to making own homes for getting respect and buit trust level.
In those countries where owning home is first periorty of individuals, GDP of that countries can not grow easily because, individuals like to spend many on counstruction of homes rather than spending on business moreover, in some countries they have used a lot agricultural land for housong socities that`s why shortage of food in increasing in many countries. For instance, in punjab, it is a state of Pakistan rich people buy land from farmers and make housing socites, and this process takes almost three to five years in this time period that land do not use for agriculture. These are some major negative effects of wish of making own homes.
In conclusion, i strongly belive that we need over come the fear of making house is necessary for every one for the groth of country and young people live with out stress.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You state a clear view that this is a negative situation, and you give relevant reasons for why home ownership matters in some societies, including social respect, marriage expectations and trust. You also explain possible economic and environmental costs, such as investment being diverted from business and farmland being converted into housing. However, the explanation of why ownership is valued is difficult to follow in places, and the claim about parents accepting a man’s character or income is not fully explained. The economic effects are also asserted more than demonstrated. Develop each main point with a clearer cause-and-effect explanation and make the link between the examples and your overall position more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas are broadly grouped by purpose: social reasons first, then negative consequences. This gives the reader a basic route through the essay. However, progression within sentences and paragraphs is often unclear, particularly in the first body paragraph, where several claims are joined together without showing how they relate. Connectors such as “moreover,” “because” and “consequently” are sometimes overused or do not express the intended relationship accurately. The conclusion introduces the idea of overcoming fear without clearly linking it to the preceding discussion. Use shorter, logically ordered sentences and clearer references to the point each example supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “responsibilities,” “agricultural land,” “construction” and “shortage of food,” and you communicate the general subject despite frequent spelling and word-choice problems. However, the range is limited and several errors make parts of the argument harder to understand, such as “judge weaith,” “trust issues on other individuals” and “making own homes.” Some phrases are not natural collocations, and repeated use of “home,” “people” and “individuals” limits precision. Check spelling carefully and learn topic-specific phrases in context, such as “place a high value on home ownership” and “convert farmland into housing developments.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses with “because,” “if” and “that’s why,” but complex sentences are often faulty and errors occur frequently. Examples include “It have increased,” “if they have not own house,” and “GDP of that countries can not grow,” which show problems with agreement, verb forms and articles. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also make some ideas difficult to follow; for example, the opening paragraph joins several independent thoughts with commas. Build accuracy first with clear subject–verb patterns and correct verb forms, then combine ideas using one well-controlled subordinate clause at a time. Proofread for capitalisation and sentence endings as well.
