IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In some countries owning a home rather than renting one is very important for people. Why might this be the case? Do you think this is a positive or negative situation?
Student answer (Band 5.0)
In various countries many people want to live in their own houses provide more benifits rather then renting home. Although owning home is challenging in the start, I firmly agree that it can offer convient and security.
On the one hand, personal residence provide relaxation and security for owners. If a person has their own home, they might fell more comfortable without any pressure building from rental home owners. Moreover, It can also provide a long term benifits for their children. For example, after the death of resident owner their home directly transfer to their family without any issues.
On the hand, rental hone built pressure for consumers when they don't pay with time. Some rented house Manager don't give proper time to take monthly rent and also creats more pressure. Furthermore, money required for both rental and congratulations of own houses. For instance, some people they face struggling in the start because they can give fee of hone as well as isolate of some to design their own home in the future.
In my opinion, a person requires to save money little bit for a long time without taking of a large debts. First focus on small resident rarher than large in the start because it requires larger money.
In conclusion, own resident is far better than renting home but initially it requires good playing to save more money for building a good home in the future. I really appreciate their own home rather than ranted hone because ot

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that home ownership offers comfort, security and a home that can be passed to children, and you state that you consider it preferable to renting. However, the reasons why owning a home is important in some countries are only partly explained, and the positive-versus-negative judgement is not consistently developed. The discussion of rental pressure is difficult to follow, while the advice about saving and starting with a small home shifts away from explaining the situation. Your position is clearest in the introduction and conclusion, but the final sentence is unfinished, which weakens the ending. Develop two or three relevant reasons with clear explanations and examples, and make your evaluation explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the response. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and some connections between ideas are difficult to understand. For example, the point about rental managers and monthly rent does not clearly explain why ownership is important, and the sentence beginning “Furthermore” combines several ideas without a clear relationship. The conclusion also ends abruptly. Organise each paragraph around one main point, explain how each supporting detail relates to it, and use referencing and transitions to make those links clear rather than relying mainly on formulaic signposts.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “security,” “rental,” “owners” and “save money,” and you attempt phrases such as “long term benefits.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “rental hone,” “congratulations of own houses,” “isolate of some” and “good playing.” These appear to obscure your intended meaning, particularly in the second body paragraph. Spelling errors such as “benifits,” “convient” and “rarher” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of accurate housing-related expressions and check that each phrase conveys the intended idea; prioritise clear, natural combinations over ambitious wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If a person has their own home” and a contrast clause beginning “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “personal residence provide” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “their home directly transfer” lacks the correct verb form. The sentence “For instance, some people they face struggling” also has an unclear structure. The final sentence is incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Proofread each sentence to check that it has a clear subject, a correctly formed verb and a complete ending.
